The Chestnut-belted Gnateater (Conopophaga aurita) is a small, ground-dwelling bird of the Amazon basin. The Chestnut-belted Gnateater is a bird that lives in tropical lowland forests. It is usually found in tall forests with dense undergrowth, but can also be found in flooded forests. It is generally found below 300 m, but may occur up to 700 m in some areas.
